He thinks about Hifumi's last words, and has doubts whether 'Yasuhiro' was really about Yasuhiro Hagakure or not. On the way down, Makoto thinks that there is too much they don't know, despite the evidence they have. Multiple clues are found by them, and Kyoko finds Hifumi's note. Kyoko inspects the corpses of Kiyotaka Ishimaru and Hifumi, with Makoto saying that they died due to blunt trauma to the head. Makoto notes that "want to see the corpses" isn't something he thought a girl would say. Kyoko then says that she wants to see the corpses. Kyoko says that she was "investigating something", and when he inquires further, she pushes him away, saying "it's nothing". Makoto chases after Kyoko when she exits, asking her what she was up to, and about how she suddenly disappeared. As Aoi continues to try and persuade Hagakure to tell the truth, Celestia notes how amazing it is that Kyoko found Yasuhiro inside a pool locker, to which Celestia gets no response, only something resembling a suspicious glare. Aoi and Byakuya are doubtful that Yasuhiro is innocent, but when asked, Yasuhiro is visibly shocked that he attacked others. Byakuya asks for the note, of which Yasuhiro no longer has. However, he was attacked from behind and knocked out, and when he came to, he was wearing the robot suit. He tells the others that he got a note telling him to meet up with someone. Sakura and Makoto help Yasuhiro out of the robot suit, Toko Fukawa making fun of Yasuhiro for making something he can't get out of, but Yasuhiro claims that he didn't make it himself.

Inside the locker is the Justice Robot suit. Everyone is visibly shocked with the exception of Celestia Ludenberg. Byakuya Togami starts getting angry when Kyoko doesn't say anything, but opens the locker next to her, saying that she found it earlier. Kyoko interrupts Makoto when he asks her where she'd been all this time, requesting that he assemble everyone for her. Makoto leaves soon after the others to look for Kyoko and Yasuhiro, but is found by the former instead. Sakura Ogami suggests that Kyoko Kirigiri may have been an accomplice because she was missing the whole time, but is quickly rebutted by the fact that being an accomplice comes with "zero benefits". Those present agree that Yasuhiro is guilty for both murders.

The episode begins with a flashback to the previous episode: Hifumi Yamada dying in Aoi Asahina's arms as Monokuma announces that a corpse has been found, and that a Class Trial will be held soon. But the way Makoto Naegi sees it, things just aren't adding up quite right. Two students have been killed one after the next and all of the evidence seems to point at Yasuhiro Hagakure.
